A quilt by Lady Zoe is a quilt that has been designed, patterned and sewn together and then quilted by a couple that run a home based, website affiliated business that was initiated a few months ago because Zoe and her husband decided to start offering their homemade quilts to the public. Since they started their business, they have invested in a New Joy quilting frame that had to be rebuilt to meet their expectations of a twelve foot frame allowing them to quilt a California King sized quilt.
We are not your every day manufactured quilts that you can purchase in the local department store. You’re not going to find our quilts on any shelf with numerous sizes to choose from. Our quilts are personalized custom homemade quilts that are designed by you, thus making them a one of a kind product that no one else is going to have. That means your neighbor is going to be jealous and hopefully want one for her, so please inform her of our site and she can have her own personalized quilt made.
We offer numerous patterns selected from Joanne’s Fabric store and we have a moderate selection of patterns on hand in our garage. Many of the on hand patterns have been paired up with other pattern choices and are ready to be cut, sewn and quilted for your delivery. We have taken the opportunity to build a few quilts and offer them for sale on our site, but they don’t last very long before someone out there on the web buys it or one of our many friends get a hold of it and sells it at a flea market for their profit.
Quilts are warm bedspreads with three layers of a face layer, usually blocked and patterned with various shapes and fabrics to design a desired pattern, a batting in between two layers of cloth and a third layer, which can be anything from a bed sheet to another faced layer, making it a reversible quilt.  Fancy stitching is then applied to the bedspread in numerous stitch designs and patterns, making it a quilted quilt. Our quilts are not perfect by any means, but we do our best to make them a quilt you will enjoy and pass on to your loved ones. The imperfections of our quilts are what make them unique and personalized.
We are not professionals, nor do we have a warehouse of employees, thus a quilt can take up to a month to build after we’ve received your request. We make sure your desires are implemented into a  quilt we make, from patchwork to wall hangings. If you can think of it, we can usually build it. There are times however, that a customer requested something that can’t be done, such as green flames on black fabric. We will either Email that customer or phone them with that information and then it’s up to them what they want us to do. The fabric industry is sometimes limited on what they have produced and we have no say so in that field, but we will do a search for it.
The other significant thing in our little home shop is the batting. We offer a quarter inch cotton blend batting with the quilts we build and sell, but we can get nearly anything a customer requests at the price of shipping when it has to come from outside the continental United States. For instance, some downs are not available in the US and thus Canadian shipping costs will be added to the price of the down requested. Comforters usually have a thick down or heavy batting inside them and we can accommodate the request, but it will take more time for the built due to shipping services and where the material is coming from. Again, we don’t have a warehouse, so stocking materials is limited. We do hope you come visit our website and enjoy what you see. We encourage input, good, bad or indifferent; we believe the public input can only make up better. Quilts by Lady Zoe
